Description: Featuring Washington grown micro-malted Skagit Valley malt, we went into a lager direction for this batch. Lagered for four weeks before packaging, we explore melding the smoothness of that warm blanket we needed this winter. Saaz hops came to party, but they blended into the background like a chillwave playlist. The subtle and sexy specialty malts give this beer that on trend "Chef's kiss". This Non Alcoholic beer can fool even the beardiest of beer nerds. Lower calorie then standard beer that can go anywhere and supplement toning down a beer session. Treat yourself, take care of yourself. 

Notes from Aaron: I wanted to try out doing a more lager inspired rendition of the NA genre. It's harder to imagine at first because NA beer is already so different then standard. We did however lager this for weeks and then Dry hop it with the American lager hop Loral. This is honestly a good idea for shelf stability of these beers. Normally alcohol, hops and pH will buffer against microorganisms. This is low abv almost non existent, restrained bittering but the dry hop will help and we locked in a final pH in a safe range! Really stoked on the challenge of making NA beer and trying to carve out my own flavor profile and techniques.

PLEASE NOTE: like other beverage industries have been doing for centuries, we mitigate the potential for bacterial growth in other ways, rather than to pasteurize and destroy the nuanced flavors that make our beer stand out from many pasteurized non-alcoholic beer offerings, though we do acknowledge pasteurization is the most effective way to inhibit bacterial growth, or potential for refermentation in the can. Risk may be exacerbated by prolonged warm storage, so to mitigate risk, always cold-store Self Care immediately upon receipt, and avoid exposure to extreme heat.
