West Coast IPA

Name: Self Care

Style: Non-Alcoholic West Coast IPA

ABV: Less than 0.5% ABV

Quantity: 4pack/16oz. cans

Description: This is a super sessionable, yet super hoppy West Coast style IPA. It's rooted in techniques that are newer out of San Diego and traditional Northern California IPA's, and brewed with micromalted Pacific Northwest grains from Mainstem and Skagit Valley Malting. New-school West Coast IPA's would probably pick a nuanced dextrin to bring up the body, and we used premium German carapils.

Why mention malt in an IPA? Because these malts had to be able to fight off the copious amounts of Tahoma, Horizon, Amarillo and Comet we poured in, giving a nice green onion and garlic dankness. And how does this all taste? Somewhere between dank and really fricking dank. From there, it evolves into beautiful black tea and pine notes, with an oh-so-pretty lingering orange peel pith. You aren't going to accuse this of not being hoppy enough. It was pummeled in every technique our head brewer has tried so far in our Non-Alcoholic program!

WARNING: similar to many juices, kombucha, and other beverages you'll find in the grocery store, this product has not been pasteurized, and therefore may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems.
PLEASE NOTE: like other beverage industries have been doing for centuries, we mitigate the potential for bacterial growth in other ways, rather than to pasteurize and destroy the nuanced flavors that make our beer stand out from many pasteurized non-alcoholic beer offerings, though we do acknowledge pasteurization is the most effective way to inhibit bacterial growth, or potential for refermentation in the can. Risk may be exacerbated by prolonged warm storage, so to mitigate risk, always cold-store Self Care immediately upon receipt, and avoid exposure to extreme heat.
