Elevator Pitch - A Special Edition New Zealand Pils
So, what makes it so special? First is the brew itself, since this is the first time we set out to build an NA flavor profile using purely New Zealand hops. And by-god did we do it. What we got was a lovely refreshing juice bomb of candied pineapple, white grapes, mango, banana, and hints of pink bubble gum. It doesn't overwhelm in bitterness, and it keeps you coming back for the bouquet of fruits.
We built the base with specialty small batch malts, then hit the hot side with some European bittering hops and a dab of hop oil, creating a clean Washington-style, lightly bitter profile. We then rested the beer post-boil over a lovely blend of NZ's finest, featuring Nelson Sauvin, Pacific Sunrise, Motueka, and Riwaka.
