Description from the Brewer: This Rustic IPA is a collaboration with the musician Rae Isla was brewed to support the release of her new single of the same name!
About the collaboration, from Isla herself: Years Beers Her Tears was originally written with a male country singer in mind. But, I played it at a show in Los Angeles and people loved it. I realized that it was my story, every word, so I didn't change a single word and decided to record it myself.
"It takes a strong strong woman to make a good man" feels like the truest line I've ever written. It's about my struggle with alcohol, watching my dad go through it and realizing that a lot of our struggles are generational. It took a lot of years and mistakes for me to figure out how to be the best version of myself, and I attribute all my strength to my mom, grandma, and the women who have stood by me through it all.
As a Washington-born artist, I'm proud to be collaborating with Self Care, a brand from my home state, that is leading the charge in non-corporate owned NA beers. After working in the entertainment industry for 10+ years, I've watched friends and family members struggle with alcohol abuse. I've had my periods of teetering on that precipice as well.
I'm super passionate about creating a healthier relationship with alcohol in my life and inspiring my community to examine how it plays a role in theirs. Being a part of the live music scene doesn't need to be a drunk experience. I'm so excited that more people are jumping on board the NA beverage train!
From the Brewer: Beer description coming soon.
WARNING: similar to many juices, kombucha, and other beverages you'll find in the grocery store, this product has not been pasteurized, and therefore may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children, the elderly, and persons with weakened immune systems.
